Our work goes beyond just construction; it’s about giving back to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. The federal government offers a special grant for veterans who need home modifications due to disabilities sustained during their service. Through this grant, veterans can apply for funding to make their homes fully accessible, allowing them to live independently and comfortably.
The Project: Building for Accessibility
This particular project involved building a complete addition to the veteran’s home, designed with full accessibility in mind. Understanding the unique challenges faced by disabled individuals, especially those who are wheelchair-bound, we focused on creating a space that would meet all of their needs.
- Custom Home Addition: The addition was designed to seamlessly blend with the existing structure while providing additional living space tailored to the veteran’s needs. Features such as widened doorways, roll-in showers, and accessible kitchen counters were integrated into the design.
- Ramp Installation: To ensure easy and safe access to the home, we also installed ramps that allow smooth entry and exit for the veteran. These ramps are built to the highest standards, ensuring durability and ease of use.
The Impact: Independence and Dignity
The completion of this project means more than just a new addition to a home—it means a significant improvement in the quality of life for a hero who gave so much for our country. With the modifications in place, the veteran can move around their home with ease, perform daily tasks independently, and enjoy a higher level of comfort and safety.
